This fall, dedicate one evening a week to restoring your body, mind and spirit in our new Yogic Lifestyles series with Bhaskar Goswami. This series will explore the Sivananda training system, a derivative of the Hatha yoga tradition, that aims to retain the vitality of the body and decrease chance of disease, by simply and naturally cultivating the body. Each week will explore one of Sivananda philosophies as summarized in 5 principles: Proper exercise (Asanas), Proper breathing (Pranayama), Proper relaxation (Savasana), Proper diet (Vegetarian), and Positive thinking and meditation (Vedanta/Dhyana). This series is open to anyone looking to expand and deepen there yoga practice.
